Our Villa Planners team worked together with the bride and groom to bring their destination wedding vision to life. The day began with a “first look” between bride and groom, allowing them an intimate moment to share before the activities of the day. The “first look” photos on the staircase and in the marble hallways of Villa la Joya are so sweet. They show off the gorgeous bridal gown’s train and veil and the tenderness shared between Julie and Erick.
The ceremony by the sea turned the Villa la Joya gardens into a white wonderland! Pentaflor really knocked this one out of the park with white roses and baby’s breath arch and florals. Julie and Erick became newlyweds on this breezy day, perfect for a flowing veil and train and a passionate kiss.
Guests celebrated the newlyweds at their Villa la Joya wedding reception with a whole lot of joy.
Julie and Eriick treated their guests to an unbelievable and unforgettable private villa reception. The all-white theme continued throughout the cocktail hour and the reception, from furniture to candles to table cards with their touches of gold to the super pretty white wedding cakes by Pasteleria Migaja.
The stunning arch from the ceremony came to life as the sun went down, we love the idea of incorporating lights within the arrangements of flowers. All the Playa del Carmen florals by Pentalfor were just perfect.
Celebrating Vietnamese traditions at a destination wedding in Mexico with Villa Planners
Julie and Erick paid homage to their Vietnamese heritage with a surprise entrance in traditional Ao Dai, a heartfelt moment that honored their past as they stepped into their future together.
“They are Vietnamese Ao Dai or also known as ceremonial outfits for weddings, new year or special events. Red is worn by the bride to represent happiness, luck, and prosperity, while the groom wears a blue áo dài to represent peace, calmness, and hope”. from bride Julie
The reception was lively and dynamic with an incredible vibe of love and excitement for the future. Bride and groom treated us to a final fashion change with their matching white tennis shoes and a cute mini-dress for Julie and a loosened tie for handsome Erick. The fireworks, the music and the disco balls brought all the elements of a great party and the guests left it all on the dance floor.
